at the Yolo County Airport in 1997. This is one of my jumpmasters after the jump.

The day started with a 6 hour ground school where we were extensively trained on the jump to follow.
Especially stressed and repeatedly practiced was what to do if my chute didn't open properly.

Me coming in for the landing. I jumped with 2 jumpmasters, each holding a wrist in case I panicked. As soon as I deployed my chute, they let go, so if the chute didn't open properly, it was up to me to cut it loose and pull the reserve chute.

The freefall lasted about 1 minute. At first I was on my back and watched as the plane got smaller and
smaller REALLY fast. I then flipped over and performed maneuvers practiced during the groundschool.
